Answer a few questions and we'll write your VCP manifest for you — watch it take shape on the right as you type. Nothing is submitted until the last step.

Tell viewers about your service

This is what people see in the app when they add your service — like the name and icon of an app in the App Store.

Service name *

The name of your website or brand, up to 80 characters. Example: Example Media.

Short description

One friendly sentence about what viewers will find, up to 200 characters. Optional.

Icon image address

A link to a square PNG or JPEG, at least 256×256 pixels, hosted on your site over https://. Optional — the app shows your name without it.

Where your service lives

Two addresses: the one people type, and the one where your VCP endpoints answer. They can be the same site or different subdomains.

Your website address *

What viewers type into VClarity to find you — just your domain, like https://example.com. We'll ask you to prove you own this domain at the end.

API base address *

The base URL your VCP endpoints hang off — VClarity will call https://api.example.com/vcp/v1/collections, and so on. Must start with https://.

VCP spec version

Which version of the protocol your API implements. Pick the latest unless you built against an older spec — see what changed in each version.

How do viewers sign in?

Pick how someone proves who they are when they add your service to the app. If your whole catalog is public, pick the first option and you're done.

No sign-in — public libraryAnyone with the app can import and watch. The right choice when all your videos are free to watch by anybody. Pasted keyYou give each viewer a personal key on your website (like an API key), and they paste it into the app once. Good if your site already hands out keys. Device pairing — recommendedThe app shows a short code like "XKCD-9204". The viewer approves it while signed in to your website in their browser. No passwords are ever typed into the app.

Accept member tokens for premium content On top of any sign-in method, viewers can paste a personal token from their account on your website to unlock extras — higher resolutions, members-only videos. Skip this unless you offer memberships.

Optional features

Tick only what your API actually serves — listing a feature is a promise that its routes work. You can always come back and add more later by editing your manifest.
